    June 16th

This morning we will make our way to the quaint island of Île de la Cité, an oasis from the rush of the city that remains romantically frozen in the 17th century. If you wish, we can stop for a quick ice cream at Berthillon, the long-standing grande-dame of ‘glaces.’ Don’t worry about counting calories because we will burn them quickly as we continue to make our way towards the epicenter of Paris. Here we can visit the island’s focal point the Cathedral of Notre Dame, arguably the most stunning gothic cathedral in the world—and undoubtedly the most famous.

As we continue, we will stop and learn the history and importance of Paris’ oldest bridge, Pont Neuf. It will also be a treat to visit the small, uncrowded residential park known as the Place Dauphine which has managed to avoid being overrun by masses of tourists.

Next up is the Opera Garnier in the evening… Who has not dreamt of having a rendezvous in this palace of a thousand secrets, and perhaps an encounter with the famous Phantom of the Opera? Perhaps we can find him at his usual seat in Box Number Five? You will be amazed by the rich architecture and decor of the Palais Garnier. The abundant decor, the splendor of the various foyers and the variety of materials used will take your breath away.

    June 17th

After breakfast, we will meet our amazing Fashion Stylists to spend a splendid day shopping in some of the trendiest and chic districts of Paris. Our fashion guru will take you to the boutiques and ateliers of the many trendy designers that supply Paris’s yen for simple things done beautifully – jewelry, handbags, scarves, shoes, and much more.

The rest of the afternoon is on your own to enjoy.

Optional: Should you wish to continue to an off-the-beaten-path treat, we can discover the Canal Saint-Martin neighborhood. This hidden gem may not be one of the most recognizable quarters of Paris, but it exudes a sense of elegant leisure that is oh-so-French. In addition to the beauty of the canal, this neighborhood is also known for its quirky shops, boutiques and ethnically diverse restaurants, where we can enjoy dinner.*

Enjoy a glass, two or five of bubbly as you spend a day in the famous region of Champagne. With its magnificent vineyards, impressive heritage and world-class champagnes, the region makes a great excursion from the French capital. In Reims, our wine expert will take you on a tour of the city’s famous Gothic cathedral and allow you to explore the beauty of downtown and savor this picturesque village. Afterward, you will visit a world-renowned champagne house for a private tour and tasting. In the afternoon, your champagne filled adventure continues through the picturesque landscape of vineyards and rolling hills to a smaller local vineyard. Here, you will have the opportunity to see the inner workings of a smaller scale champagne producer.

    June 19th

Today is going to be a fun-fill adventure!!! We will begin our day by discovering the most beautiful and elegant bridge to span the Seine — Pont Alexandre III… This will be our jumping off point to explore the Berges de Seine. This pedestrian “industrial chic” stretch along the Seine combines nature, sports, leisure, and culture. Once one of the busiest two-lane thoroughfares in the city, with up to 2,200 vehicles an hour passing through. Les Berges reappropriated the riverbank and has created a little island of peace, pleasure, and leisure in the heart of Paris.

Later we will visit one of our favorite quaint pedestrian streets – Rue Cler. This charming cobblestone street offers plenty of space for tiny stores and their patrons to spill onto it. Now the time has come for us to formally introduce you to Paris’ Grand Dame… We will take you behind the scenes of one of the most iconic landmarks in the world – The Eiffel Tower. As a VIP, you will enter first into the former bunker hidden under the Champ de Mars. You will then slip backstage to the surprising and impressive engine room which still controls the elevators. Once on the 2nd floor, you will be greeted by an unprecedented 360° panorama of Paris.

We will conclude our exploring by making our way over the bridge to the Jardin du Trocadero and Palais de Chaillot for some great pictures of the Eiffel Tower.

Optional: Weather permitting we can indulge in a quintessential Parisian picnic along the Champs de Mars while taking in the amazing view of the Eiffel Tower and the city vibe around you, vraiment un passe-temps très Parisienne!*

    June 20th

Let’s Go Exploring!!! We will begin our extraordinary day strolling around the quintessentially Parisienne neighborhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Odéon. Admire the architecture, browse the boutiques, and revise our French history as we stroll along these wonderful neighborhoods. Whiling away the day at sidewalk cafés isn’t considered unproductive in Saint-Germain-des-Prés – Odeon… it’s considered the perfect day.

This afternoon, let the magic and elegance of the Rodin museum unfold before your eyes. This spectacular museum along with its spectacular garden contains the largest collection of the sculptor’s works. You will experience some of his famous masterpieces such as The ThinkerGates of Hell, The Kiss, and Burghers of Calais which are displayed alongside that of the sculptor, model and Rodin’s mistress Camille Claudel.

We will continue our late afternoon and explore the famous market street of Rue Mouffetard. It is a ‘wonderful, narrow crowded market street’, as Hemingway described it in ‘A Moveable Feast.’ Bustling stalls of fruit and vegetables in cobbled stretches, plenty of grocers – also hawking charcuterie, patés, seafood, cheeses, and sticky patisseries. Finalement ending our day in a quaint left bank café for dinner.*

    June 21st

Today we will take a walking tour of the art-filled colorful village of Montmartre. Discover Montmartre’s unique character and winding cobblestone paths from artists studios through terraced gardens, from the oldest vineyard in Paris to antique windmills, sharing with you the amazing stories of residents past and present. During this exploration, we will learn why famous artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Renoir, and Toulouse-Lautrec loved and made this area their home. Once at the top of the hill you’ll enjoy the picturesque views of the Basilica of Sacré Coeur and the panoramic view over all of Paris. There’s no better way to explore this village within Paris than by foot.

Tonight we will be partaking in our farewell dinner at a beautiful Parisian restaurant. Our final group outing will be at a sexy and chic Cabaret… in all of its naughty, risqué fun, yet well celebrated in Paris. You will be enticed with this modern, creative and audacious celebration of femininity… all while sipping champagne in the VIP area. This prestigious show has been treating customers and famous celebrities to an avant-garde experience featuring beautiful women tastefully in few items of clothing.
